Welcome to picopico.org! Named after the Visual Kei sub-scene(-slash-genre), this website is an umbrella network of fanpages which promotes the genre.
Picopico (often romanised as pikopiko, or pikopiko kei) is a type of Visual Kei all about electronic and gamey sounds in the music. It's my favourite kind of Visual Kei.
However, in my opinion, picopico is for more than this. Many picopico artists are influenced by New Wave acts. There are artists outside of Visual Kei that you could maybe describe as "techno-pop", or "new wave", or any other words, and they often also play with picopico bands. So to me, they are also picopico.
It's a scene that reaches far outside of Visual Kei if you look hard enough.
If you don't listen to this, what's the point?
This website is run by Mousecky. It was officially erected in late April of 2024, although it had been in my head much earlier than that. There's now a lovely little collection of fanpages for you to look through and learn about.
At its core, this is a fan website mostly dedicated to the picopico genre. There may be pages for non-picopico but related bands (such as angura-kei bands like Dagashi Kashi), but picopico is the main focus.
